Efficient deployment approach of wireless sensor networks on 3D terrains

Ensuring the coverage of a region interest (RoI) when deploying wireless sensor network (WSN) is an objective that depends on several factors, such as detection capability used nodes and topography RoI. To address challenges, in this paper, we propose new WSN deployment approach based idea partitioning RoI into sub-regions with relatively simple topography. Then allocating, to each constructed sub-region, necessary number finding their appropriates positions maximise quality. The performance evaluation coupled three different methods named method simulated annealing (DMSA), greedy (GDM), random (RDM), has revealed its relevance since it helped significantly improve quality
